Young Eagles

Our Chapter actively participates in EAA's Young Eagles program which offers free airplane rides to kids from age 8 to 17. We have two rallies per year and informal Young Eagle flights year-round. We made it well past our goal of flying 1,000 kids before December 2003 and we continue with an on-going goal of flying at least 100 kids each year. To date we've flown over 2800 youngsters!

The future of aviation rests with our youth, and the Young Eagles program has the goal of getting young folks interested in aviation, math, and science. We're doing our best to get the message out to local youth that FLYING IS FUN.

Our next Young Eagles Rally will be on

June 7, 2025 from 9am to 3pm

Rain date June 8, 2028 from 9am to 3pm

Pre-registration will be required at Preregister before coming to the event. Registration opens in early May.
