President Mark Scott was honored at the February 15 meeting for 10 years of service as EAA Chapter 27's President. Vice President James Calver led the ceremony. In the photo, he's reading a letter signed by EAA Chairman Jack Pelton congratulating Mark for his service. Constance Castillo, airport manager, gave a tribute talking about all the ways Mark has helped the airport over the years. James arranged some surprise visitors as well--Mark's wife and sons; Wilma Petro, former Meriden City Purchasing agent who oversaw much of the airport's growth; Aviation Comissioner Kathy Battista; City Communications Director Tony Tierzi and his father retired newscaster Al Tierzi. Former Chapter 27 President Jim Simmons is in Florida, but he sent a video message with his congratulations.
